It Must Be Done

Just like everything else in my house it seems, the time has come to replace another appliance in my shop and this time, it is my toilet. Of course, I want my customers and potential customers to use a toilet that is up to par and that makes it easy for me to maintain during busy store hours. The one that I currently have installed has been there for years, so it is not like I did not see this coming. I have always said that once the time came I would replace it with one of the best available on the market and the decision to take the plunge now means I have been doing a ton of research in order to find those that fit my preferences and budget.

It has been years since I had to go out and check on the prices of toilets, and once I began, I realized that there are toilets out there that do so much more than those from previous years. First, I went to the site https://homeworthylist.com/ which gave me a comprehensive list of toilets that have been vetted by previous users and experts. There are so many places to look for toilets these days and there are even some that are recommended for your wilderness adventure as well, which I find surprising.

Even when it comes to those latest one-piece toilets, I took my time researching those as well, many of which have been featured here. These are the toilets that are becoming so popular that I would be a fool to at least not consider them as they save a ton of money on water bills each month since they don’t waste water per flush. What was interesting to note is that the EPA has approved these models because they use even fewer gallons per flush than others and this is one of the main reasons why I have taken my time to meticulously make a short list of the best around. The following are those that I am more inclined to invest in and I believe offer the best options for both homeowners and small businesses.

American Standard H2option

The system here is dual-flush and utilizes 1.6GPF for a full flush and only 1.0GPF for a partial one, operated via two push buttons that are chrome plated atop the tank. Experts note that flushing actions on this model are improved by the system through Siphonic flushing that is highly efficient and pressurized. The testing for this is based on an average of 2 partial flushes and also one full one. Although not ADA compliant, it is certified by Water Sense and comes equipped with a limited warranty of 5 years. For those that are looking for a toilet that provides stability and reliability, this is definitely one that gets the job done and is an affordable option.

Toto Washlet

Toto Washlet

This toilet is one-piece, compact and comes with a bidet as well, making it one of the few dual flush toilets that comply with all of the requirements mandated by the ADA. There are other dual flush toilets meeting the bowl and height specifications for the ADA compliance, but it does not meet levered flush requirements. But it bypasses this with a flushing mechanism that is automatic. Technology abounds on this model, boasting excellent construction and other features that are electronically controlled – it is also certified by Water Sense. This Toto toilet also comes with 3D Tornado, a flush system that comes with nozzles that increase flushing capability to use the minimum amount of water possible.

Combined with a ceramic glaze that is extremely smooth, the toilet stays cleaner longer and that means you won’t have to spend as much time manually cleaning it. The lid opens and closes automatically when triggered by an automatic flush, featuring a heated sea and an adjustable bidet for both temperature and direction. These functions, as well as the warm drying, are able to be adjusted with a control pad that is remote and wireless. It is definitely one of the most technologically advanced toilets on the market presently and users have assured an efficient model.

Kohler Wellworth

Featuring a beautiful rounded front, the Kohler Wellworth is a dual-flush option that utilizes less space in bathrooms compared to other models, but it also must be noted that this does not mean the efficiency is reduced. Boasting a flush system that is rated a Class 5, it removes large amounts of waste with only one flush and still manages to meet specifications for the EPA through its Water Sense technology. I highly recommend it.
